Mercury
- Queen Tribute
Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and
John Deacon. Four totally different personalities
each striving for perfection. In 1971 Queen played
their first gig at Hornsea Town Hall, North London
to 300 people. From this and with a career spanning
two decades Queen had recorded many chart hits
such as 'Seven Seas of Rye' 'Killer Queen' 'Under
Pressure' 'Kind of Magic' 'Great Pretender' and
of course 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. By the end of their
first decade Queen's record sales topped 45 million
albums. Freddie was literally a legend in his
own lifetime and Queen acquired the name of 'Rocks
untouchable live showmen'. Queen was a rock band
to cherish.
Mercury has come together, in an age where technology
rules the stage. These performers recapture the
sight, sounds and emotions of Queen with skilful
instrumentation and perfect harmonies. The band
is enjoying acclaimed success with stunning performances,
attracting new fans, with capacity audiences at
venues throughout the world.
Joseph Lee Jackson portrays Mercury's Freddie.
His powerful vocal range and stunning visual interpretation
adds a totally new dimension to Queen over any
other tribute show.
Along with other band members, Glen Scrimshaw
(Brian May), Pat Coleman (Roger Taylor), Steve
Humphreys (John Deacon) and Lee Harvey (Spike
Edney) Mercury are Queen, the Legend lives on.
Acknowledeements
'It's a pity Brian's not here', quoted Queens
Roger Taylor. He commented how he had really enjoyed
the show, the accuracy of the arrangements and
how Joseph recaptured Freddie's performance.
'An absolutely amazing nights entertainment,
you were outstanding. Joe's portrayal of Freddie
was spooky, I got goose bumps and I had to say
to myself, 'Don't be stupid - HE's not here any
more'.
F MOSS
'Great gig at Southport, we were blown away
by it all, especially Freddie and Roger'.
LISA MEADOWS
'You truly have the unique Queen sound, thankyou
for keeping the legend alive'.
MO ZANASKY
'Thanks for another brilliant evening, third
time we have seen the show, can't wait to
do it again.
